Simply login to your telegram account, locate the settings, then click on privacy settings and proceed to groups and channels, then you will see an option to prevent random people from adding you to groups.
You will now be able to select either of two options; to allow people on your contact list or every one. Just change it to only people on your contact list because someone from your list adding you to groups would only be for a reason.
That’s all for the first normal procedure, no random user will be able to add you to unknown groups simply by using your username. But that’s not all, there is another way of preventing scammers from adding you to groups.
Alternative Method Of Preventing Random People From Adding You to Telegram Groups
This method is also very easy, it involves creating an account with no username. If your telegram account doesn’t have a username, no strange person will be able to add you to any group. It only requires creating a telegram account and leaving it without a username.
